How often should I clean or replace my air filters?
There are many different types of filters. Each filter type has its limits as to how much and what size particles it can remove from the air passing through it.
Each filter type also has its own limits as to how long it will go between filter changes. When or how often to change or clean your filters depends upon many circumstances: The filter type and capabilities, How often your exterior doors and windows are opened, how leaky your house is to the outside environment (including fireplaces), how well your duct for your HVAC system is sealed, just to name a few. Although the general rule of thumb is once a month, Clear Comfort can advise you on the best filter for you and your system, how often to change it, as well as, various options available to address any indoor air quality issues you may have.
