The pan under your unit, called the auxiliary pan, should always be dry. Water in this pan could be the result of a clogged primary drain pipe connected to your evaporator pan inside your unit. Clear Comfort can provide treatments as a prevention to this common problem. You could have a refrigerant issue causing ice to form inside your unit. This does not necessarily mean you have a low refrigerant charge or have a leak in your system (there are many causes of refrigerant issues). Just remember that there should never be any water in this pan. We have had customers that were told by other technicians that a little water was ok and not to worry about it - not ok. These afore mentioned items are checked with a regular maintenance agreement with Clear Comfort.
